Gentuity and GE HealthCare Expand U.S. Access to Advanced Medical Imaging
Gentuity has partnered with GE HealthCare to provide advanced intravascular imaging solutions across cardiac care facilities throughout the United States. Specifically, the collaboration expands access to the High-Frequency OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) Imaging System and the Vis-Rx® PRIME Micro-Imaging Catheter. Both medical imaging technologies deliver precise visualization, allowing physicians to diagnose and treat complex cardiovascular conditions more effectively.
Through this agreement, GE HealthCare will use its nationwide network to distribute Gentuity’s intravascular imaging systems to cardiac catheterization laboratories. Consequently, clinicians will gain broader access to medical imaging tools that improve procedural decision-making while enhancing patient outcomes. Moreover, the companies aim to advance cardiovascular care while meeting the demands of physicians relying on high-resolution, real-time imaging.
Gentuity’s HF-OCT Imaging System offers comprehensive intravascular imaging to help physicians assess coronary anatomy before, during, and after percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs). Additionally, the system produces clear images, allowing clinicians to plan treatment strategies and verify procedural results accurately. When combined with the Vis-Rx PRIME Micro-Imaging Catheter, doctors can visualize full-length vessels, improving diagnoses and treatment for patients with complex cardiovascular problems.
Desmond Adler, President of Gentuity, emphasized that the collaboration directly benefits both clinicians and patients. He explained that partnering with GE HealthCare provides a unique opportunity to bring HF-OCT intravascular imaging to more U.S. physicians. Furthermore, Adler stated that the partnership increases access to medical imaging technologies designed to strengthen decision-making and optimize real-world outcomes in cardiac care.
Jyoti Gera, CEO of CardioVascular and Interventional Solutions at GE HealthCare, also highlighted the clinical impact of the collaboration. She stated that combining Gentuity’s imaging technology with GE HealthCare’s connected cath lab platforms enables more precise PCI planning and execution. In addition, Gera noted that the agreement strengthens an existing relationship and allows clinicians to manage complex cardiovascular cases confidently with enhanced medical imaging support.
Recently, Gentuity and GE HealthCare jointly demonstrated intravascular imaging technologies at prominent cardiovascular conferences. For instance, both companies participated in the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) Conference, one of the largest annual gatherings for interventional cardiovascular medicine. At this event, Gentuity’s HF-OCT system appeared alongside GE HealthCare’s interventional solutions. This will highlight integrated imaging tools and optimized workflow in catheterization laboratories.
Looking ahead, the companies plan to showcase their collaboration at the upcoming Cardiovascular Research Technologies Conference in early March. This joint presentation reinforces their commitment to expanding the adoption of advanced medical imaging tools and promoting education among cardiovascular specialists.
Medical imaging has become an essential component of modern cardiovascular diagnostics and interventions. Consequently, physicians increasingly demand precise tools to visualize intricate anatomical structures, while solutions like HF-OCT and micro-imaging catheters provide accurate assessments. By combining intravascular imaging systems with clinical support and distribution networks. Gentuity and GE HealthCare are poised to reshape cardiovascular treatment across the United States.
The partnership also supports Gentuity’s growth in direct sales and clinical services. By jointly developing intravascular imaging solutions, the companies deliver seamless integration of medical imaging tools into existing clinical workflows. As a result, physicians benefit from improved clarity and usability, which can lead to better procedural outcomes and increased confidence during interventions.
In today’s healthcare environment, high-precision imaging is crucial for effective diagnosis and treatment. By expanding access to advanced medical imaging tools, Gentuity and GE HealthCare can significantly improve patient care. Furthermore, by aligning their strengths, both companies enhance accessibility to cutting-edge imaging technologies across the U.S., supporting better cardiovascular outcomes.
As the collaboration progresses, the companies will explore opportunities to integrate imaging solutions into additional clinical settings. Overall, with a shared focus on innovation and improved patient outcomes. Gentuity and GE HealthCare continue shaping the future of intravascular imaging and cardiovascular interventions.
